This pencil sketch is a reflection of my thought, ideas, beliefs, and way of life. Those who know my art/artwork, know that it’s not often I draw people. I tend to gravitate towards Landscapes, Fantasy Art, Fairy Realms, the list goes on. However when I set out to create this piece , It was as though I was automatic drawing, similar to automatic writing. For those of you who are not familiar with automatic writing, I will tell you. In short , it is when someone sits and writes without thinking about what they are writing . Similar to when you are driving and all of a sudden your thinking … wait. How did I get here? lol we have all been there at one time or another. Well automatic drawing, same thing. I looked up from my sketch pad and there she was. This beautiful hybrid of human and Fae. She. Who is enchanting. She. Who is creative and passionate. She. Who is intuitive and flows through life aware of her emotions and knows she is connected to much more. She. Who is grounded and centered. Connected to the Earth. Connected to nature. The forest scene in the background , the spiral and she, are all connected quite seamlessly. All things vibrate energy. The spiral not only symbolizes the path from birth and the journey that is our lives as it unfolds, it symbolizes the conscious level of nature’s beginning . Of days of old when magic ruled the air . The respect and connection one has with nature . A time when everything and everyone lived in harmony and worked together to create, manifest and live. This piece is to remind you to get back to basics. To nurture your spirit and soul and to reconnect. To be. To exist. To feel. To love . So go for that walk in the woods. Say hello to those mushrooms growing on the ground. Appreciate all that surrounds you . We are all connected . Know it. Feel it. Love it. Live it!

I hope you enjoyed this glimpse into my psyche. Where creativity starts, grows and bears its fruit. I would love to know what feelings you have when you look at this sketch. Your thoughts.
